History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Emmeline was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Oriel was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was a friend to animals and a trickster. In her defense of animals however she would do severe harm to people. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
