History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Jacoba was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Avelina isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Human unity. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
