History: Joan was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Fletcher. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
