Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Roger was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Katherine's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.

History: Maynild was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
