Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Merchant arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: Bertram lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Bertram was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Navigator they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Brewer, and he later adopted a second daughter.
