History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. After coming to the age of reason, Shax took it upon herself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Carpenter they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Tanner, and she later adopted a second daughter.

History: Thorin was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
