History: The child of eastern immigrants she idolized her mother. Tordrid was born on a far eastern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Weaver. After a long history of fighting, Tordrid and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the east. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ella was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his father.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She takes great joy in being the best Painter in town.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform She has worked as a Painter like her father before her.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and expand her business

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. She refers to her adoptive father for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She got into the Spy business at a young age. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 3 years.
