Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Shifting was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: A powerful necromancer made her what she is. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by gnolls, and she desires to right it
