History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Halfling companion (her 'brother'). She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Burgell was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
