Personality: She barks her statements quickly and with little fuss. She prefers small words and is at her heart utilitarian. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Heian is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

History: Altho lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Being a Spice Merchant kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Nelkin grew up listening to his father's many stories. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered singing. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and he possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal
