Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has never given up on his music dream.

He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He is witty, but his monotone delivery comes off as unnerving Cairn is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Scribe they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Mayor, and he later adopted a second daughter.
