However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. A freak accident while working with her Beggar mother left her crippled. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. The war was a terrible time for him, and Abad does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he feels kind of lost in life

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Gimble's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: Gimble was born with his mother's beautiful face. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Personality: She is cool and collected. She likes to make quips and puns whenever she does anything. She also makes a point to compliment her superiors and flatter them. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out

Personality: This woman loves music and to teach people music more than just about anything. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Born in the west to a Masseuse, Lia learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has never given up on her music dream.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Gnomish conditions. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: Nija was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Glassblower hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.
