Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Thoradin embodies much of what other species detest in the Dwarves. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. He has achieved small success as a Brewer.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A gifted student she started as a Weaver, but she got bored and became a Cook. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Cook for hire.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Mayor born in the past three hundred years. He is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his mother. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
