History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Personality: This man loves writing and to teach people writing more than just about anything. When triggered he is a bloodthirsty maniac, stopping at nothing and killing everything for almost an hour.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Cartwright arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. After months of barely getting by, Barakas managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Mercenary for hire.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He is envious of other's things. He hoards treasure, art, food, wine, and anything that he so desires. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Dalgal's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Personality: She is cool and collected. She likes to make quips and puns whenever she does anything. She also makes a point to compliment her superiors and flatter them. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: Born in the north to a Knight, Drusilia learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Knight work with an outfit from a few towns over. Knight work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She's also a talented Brewer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Heian was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.
