History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Grai was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. In her 13th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Grai alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: She is extraordinarily eccentric. Mary is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. After a long history of fighting, Tree and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers.

History: Smoking was born with her mother's beautiful face. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Murgen has worked very hard to control her curse. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
