History: She was born in the south. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vola grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vola. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Raer was born in the west. At a young age he loved to build and create. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Half-Elves in Raer's homeland. Raer decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He lacks restraint and is impulsive. He jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gifted student he started as a Weaver, but he got bored and became a Bricklayer. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and doesn't want to be a bricklayer and was forced into it by his family

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with poetry. She constantly tries to fill her life with poetry. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. When Kristryd reached her early adolescence her Dwarf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and her religion dominates her actions

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
