Description: This southern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He very much looks the part of a Miner. His chestnut hair is thinning but still full. His eyes are a pleasant blue.
Personality: Umpen hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He can't help but pocket interesting objects he comes across
History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Description: She is lean but muscular and tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. She has a very tight haircut. She has a tattooed face.
Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.
History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact

History: Daar lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Locksmith they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Seamstress, and she later adopted a second daughter.
Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and she wants to meet her childhood hero

Personality: The woman has a huge range of feeling. She will range from being happy and joking with the occasional self put down to crying stating how she will be a better person from this day on. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her poetry with anyone who is interested.
History: Eloise was born with her father's beautiful face. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.
History: She was born on a small isolated farm. A freak accident while working with her Laborer mother left her crippled. She bought a crossbow and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.
Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. At some point she was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.
History: Born in the north to a Carpenter, Chem learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his youth he was a Carter, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He now owns his own business.
