History: Born in the south to a Bellfounder, Shifting learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. She found a children's book about a Tabaxi Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Shifting was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the illithids.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Egelina grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food.
