History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Veloptima was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
