History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Shax was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He has passion for adventuring and risk; and obtaining odd cultural gnomish artifacts is his passion

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with poetry. She constantly tries to fill her life with poetry. She disdains her fellow easterners, claiming they make her look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Tabaxis in Shivering's homeland. Shivering decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.
