History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the south. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Frederick alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Mayor. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
