He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

He is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Dwarf in existence. The war was a terrible time for him, and Rurik does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Bookbinder. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Gillyd was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Through the years after Gillyd was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Gillyd's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has dedicated herself to building a better village for her children.
