Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Personality: Thiala hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her singing career. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is happy with her job as a Sage. She turns her eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: Her psionic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and seeks redemption

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Brewer responsibilities is difficult; and expand her business
