History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has never given up on his writing dream.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: Qualen was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bricklayer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.
