Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. Her red hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. Her face is scarred and worn.
Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She constantly seizes attention wherever she goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. She likes to think of herself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.
History: She was born in the east, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Some 2 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Valanthe never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he wears a fancy pastel suit. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.
Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.
History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Sun alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. As of late he has set up a hidden staging nest where he ambushes people he hires for escort.
Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Mayor and was forced into it by his family; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. As long as the job gets done she does not care how it got done.
History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Marshal arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: Aym hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her writing career. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her father.
History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Guy is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: He is a Jackalwere in disguise. Guy abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
