She found a children's book about a Dragonborn Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: Born to a Cartwright, her mother struggled to pay the bills. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: Andraste is depressed about a lot of things. She tends to be a nihilist. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Adventurer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. During her travels, Pyra and her party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Pyra discovered the rest of her party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Pyra fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing her own horrible transformation.

History: Shivering was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Tieflings in the east were limited. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and his religion dominates his actions
