History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her youth she was a Cook, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger sister on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Kite fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. She dropped out of school before completing her studies. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and to unite with his brother

History: Raymond was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
