She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mayor work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mayor work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: She was born in the east. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
