Personality: Roger is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He married young, but lost his spouse to gnolls. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Roger was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he typically wears yellow cloth garments or leather armor. His blonde hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Some 9 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Adelard never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: He was born into a rich family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and a strong sense of loyalty to elven people

She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: She does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Breena hails from a village terrorized by goblins. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Fletcher.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Jeweler born in the past three hundred years. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: Born to a Barber, his father struggled to pay the bills. A gifted student he started as a Barber, but he got bored and became a Jeweler. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: To be a Barber again.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Barakas was born with his mother's beautiful face. A freak accident while working with his Bather mother left him crippled. After a long history of fighting, Barakas and his spouse have recently divorced.
