He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Zepar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Zepar. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure.
