History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the south. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Dilettante. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Merla was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Personality: She is mildly Half-Elf supremacist, though she does not identify as such. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Gifted from a young age, Katherine studied abroad. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Katherine fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
