History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.
History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Geoffrey is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.
History: He was raised by priests from a young age. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Armorer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Sculptor, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Description: This slender woman stands about 4'7". She prefers to wear flannel. She keeps her auburn hair in a flapper bob. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.
Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Mara grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.
Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it; and many brigands want her driven away

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Clerebold embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Mercenary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Mercenary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.
History: Barendd was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. Barendd abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
