History: Nalaed hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Nalaed alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
