History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Mindartis reached his early adolescence his Half-Elf mother passed away. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Vola lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.
