History: He was born in the west. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in the north to a Shepherd, Shamash learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. A gifted student he started as a Brewer, but he got bored and became a Shepherd. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Henry lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He worked as a nervous Barrister and found it very stressful. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
