Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Around other people she will do her best to conceal her emotions and appear jolly.

History: She was born into a rich family. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: Trag hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. The war was a terrible time for him, and Heian does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Heian was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Faran was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and nothing but the best is good enough for him

Personality: She is fixated on the number 47. She counts her steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. She seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she's repulsed by the pc

Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
