History: He got into the Cook business at a young age. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Tethren grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Tethren. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cook for hire.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
