History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Through the years after Gerald was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Gerald's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Gerald and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Biri lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents were killed by goblins in a raid when she was still a young child. The goblins captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
