History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Whurbin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Whurbin was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Spice Merchant. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: Shifting was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Shifting abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature longbow.
