However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the giants.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to reunite with his absent father

History: Keyleth was born in the west. At a young age she loved to build and create. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 14 years.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Avice was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mercenary.

History: Matilda was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Matilda alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Heather was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Tailor.
