Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born in the north, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside her partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.
