When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

His green eyes peer out from beneath his small white hat.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this eastern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was born into a rich family. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Elven conditions. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He worked as a nervous Dyer and found it very stressful. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Mishann lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her first spouse was a Healer, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Nurkara was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
