History: River hails from a village terrorized by drow. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving River alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the drow.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
