Description: He stands about 6'9" and wears tight fighting clothing, which leaves very little to the imagination. His left hand appears badly burned and disfigured. He has no hair. His face is scarred and worn.
Personality: He is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. Through the years after Balam was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Balam's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.
Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He is harsh and unforgiving.
History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Beggar. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Beggar responsibilities is difficult.

Description: This southern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She tends to wear a large pastel jacket. She wears a top hat to hide her balding. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.
Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is an amazing painter.
History: The child of a Bricklayer, who enjoyed hunting, Seven was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and to get a good night's sleep

Personality: She hates dire rats. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and someone believes her a fraud

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.
History: She got into the Locksmith business at a young age. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She's also a talented Marshal, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Description: This man is unhealthily muscled, almost every single one of his veins is visible when he is not flexing. His shirts and pants tend to be short and undersized for him due to the difficulty of finding a good tailor. He wears a colorful flower in his black hair. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.
Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. A friendly and beautiful Halfling, he is rarely seen without a few beauties around his arms. Though a playboy in all rights, he is no lame duck.
History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Borun fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.
History: Skak was born with his mother's beautiful face. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Orcs in the north were limited. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.
History: Born in the north to a Interpreter, Fenriz learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Fenriz was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and expand his business
