History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Marigold was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She tends to her Bookbinder job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines brown.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Umpen embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He has all his life been fascinated with dancing.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. History: He was born in a small island village. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Interpreter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
