History: Thiala hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Tanner. She hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: Silent was born the youngest of three triplets. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
