History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: Birel hails from a village terrorized by drow. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Birel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
