Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Umpen embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Fletcher profession.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Umpen was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A gifted student he started as a Fletcher, but he got bored and became a Carter. After a long history of fighting, Umpen and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Seamstress they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Assassin, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and doesn't want to be a assassin and was forced into it by his family

Motivation: Many drow want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and she desires to right it
