History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Verna was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Tarhun was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and seeks redemption

History: Born in the south to a Farmer, Neega learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.

History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. His first spouse was a Crown-heir, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Dagger was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and a strong sense of loyalty to halfling people
