History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She's also a talented Bricklayer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Erias alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Half-Elves in the west were limited. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Joan fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He tends to agree with only himself unless someone else's opinion sounds like he can profit from it. He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: The child of eastern immigrants he idolized his father. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: She never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. Flattery will make her almost putty in your hands.

History: Rinn hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Her parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when she was still a young child. The dire rats captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it.
